Erick Friedman has an extensive discography including many solo and concerto
recordings on the RCA label. His first recordings of these works were with Seiji
Ozawa and the London Symphony in the 1960's. Other RCA recordings include the
Boston Symphony, Chicago Symphony and London Symphony.
A CD featuring Heifetz and Friedman playing the Bach Double
Concerto is available in record stores and at online vendors such as
Amazon. Mr. Friedman's recording of Bartok with the
Orchestra of the Sudwestfunk with Zdenek Macal is available
on the Musical Heritage label.
Erick Friedman's recordings with Andre Previn of the Bach Sonatas for Violin and Clavecin and the Franck and Debussy Sonatas won prestigious Grammy Award nominations. His participation in the BMG/RCA CD set of all the recordings of Jascha Heifetz won him the 1996 Grammy Award.
And now, in addition to a CD release of some of the major violin
works of Ezra Laderman, a new recording of the Mendelssohn and
Tchaikovsky concertos with Laurent Petitgirard and the Orchestre
Philharmonique de Monte Carlo has been released to critical
acclaim on the internet and CD in Europe and Japan.
In a review of this CD, the London Daily Mail wrote:
"...a pupil of Heifetz but for many years he has been acknowledged
as a master in his own right."
Mr. Friedman first recorded these works with Seiji Ozawa and the
London Symphony in the 1960's.
